Interior Design ebooks

I have found this book to be of great value in teaching the subject. The success factor depends on the mental laziness of the student. I have had to veer away from the book as a textbook temporarily to return to the grid format for those who are less quick. Once the slow learners are up to speed on the subject, I will return to this book. It does require a basic understanding of the controllong factors of perspective and the use of some ingenuity in areas but overall, it is a really good book. br /In my professional life as an Interior Designer, It is my preferred reference.

I purchased this book as a requirement for an Interior Design History class at Parsons School of Design. The Historian teaching the course highly recommends. br / br /So far I've only had a chance to browse through, but I like that it goes through each era highlighting the significant differences and similarities. It would be helpful if they included more pictures as illustration to match their information so you can get a better idea. br / br /There's more pictures of single furniture pieces than of a whole space- which I don't like.

Interior Design: A Survey / Corky Binggeli

This is the absolute bible to the ncidq. its a must read as its very basic and to the point. the questions weer similar to what was actually asked on the test, and its a great preparation. there has been newer editions since this one. but i strongly recommending investing on Ballast's reference manual when you are planning to take the ncidq.
